Besides everything else, Bangla Desh was a great show, brilliantly put together by an artist who not only knew how to assemble a lot of great musicians but had an instinctive feeling for how best to present them and their music with honesty, dignity, and maturity. As of August 2020, neither the album nor DVD was in print. Harrison then brought the house down with “Here Comes the Sun,” his acoustic Beatles classic. Exiting the show, via the backstage ramps, I came face to face with Billy Preston and had the presence of mind to congratulate him and shake his hand.
