We went for a walk over there during lockdown and there was so much rubbish dumped. There's a link road to parking on the island. From here I walked westwards, and after about a mile the footpath led over the railway line which bisects the marshes. At the bottom of the hill, I reached the grazing marshes - land that was reclaimed from the sea for use as pasture, and is now a conservation area.

There is a calmness here which is perfect for people of all ages. The drying mud of Benfleet Creek glistens in the sun. We go to Two Tree Island alot as we are in Hadleigh.
