Overclocking potential varies from chip to chip. Moderate cooling performance, but otherwise a high quality CPU cooler.
These fans top out at 1500 RPM, deliver 140.2 cubic meters per hour of air flow, and are rated at a noise level of 24.6 dB(A). With 4 running I still get 72cfm of pressure per pair but they are dead silent.
Yes water works well with good components and how set-up, will be quieter than stock cooler, note: cpu will throttle back power when hits around 60c. You are using an out of date browser. Since I need chips for work / occasional gaming and don't overclock, that sounded good to me. The Ryzen 7 2700X achieved a score of 1807 (1807/1405= up to 29% faster than the Core i7-8700K), while the Core i7-8700K (MSRP $370) achieved a score of 1405 (1405/1807= up to 78% as fast, or up to 22% slower than the Ryzen 7 2700X). The screwdriver is extra long to reach the spring-loaded screws at the base of the heatsink, securing it to these brackets.

The NH-D14 was absolutely a trend setter for the heatsink world, and the first up at the plate in the dual-tower cooling game. They work good but I can tell ya that they do not last. An included plate that fits behind the socket of LGA 1150 through 1366 motherboards allows for adaptability to many different processors, making it an ideal Ryzen 2700X cooler. So I’ve watched videos and read some articles the overclocking the ryzen 7 2700x is really not worth it because the difference is very minimal. Noctua’s reputation for quiet coolers comes from their low CFM fans, but the efficiency level gets a boost from the fact that each and every fin in both stacks of this cooler have been directly soldered to each of the heat pipes. Historically, it’s been the go-to cooler preferred by over-clockers and system builders due to low cost and relatively good performance. However, if overclocking more than four CPU cores to the upper limit of silicon architechture, you might consider alternatives, as this pair of Hyper 212s is somewhat lacking when it comes to wrangling thermal loads on HEDT (high-end desktop) CPUs.
