It is very painful to watch the abusive scenes and the movie has a very sad ending. I vividly remember the morning in the early 80s when I picked up the local NYC newspapers and saw her photo on the front page. There were a few moments that I just wanted to cry for her, they really make you feel it. There's no resolution to the 'who did it' but it's supposed to be because this IS an unsolved case--the movie is about everything that lead up to her being 'lost'. This movie is very similar to the movie "All Good Things" starring Kirsten Dunst. Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2019. Yes, it was left unsolved, but that’s the point. This movie is so interesting you can’t stop watching and since it’s based on a true story I think it makes it all the more interesting....as this true crime story has always been such a big one in history. I think this movie tells the story perfectly. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.
