Searching for streaming and purchasing options ... Common Sense is a nonprofit organization. I think it is very good reading for 12 year olds. An African-American family moves to all-white Grove Street in Iggie's House, to be released in April. A remake of Patrice Leconte's "Intimate Strangers," which centers on a woman who shares her deepest secrets with a man she thinks is a therapist. I was really surprised when I came home from camp and found out our New York apartment had been rented to another family and that we owned a house in Farbrook, New Jersey.
She and her friends gossip about the most-developed girl in class, and, at a party, the kids play "Two Minutes in the Closet" and other kissing games. Ultimately, tweens learn that they're not alone in wishing that they would hurry up and grow up. Afterward, Margaret stops talking to God. It's Me, Margaret.
Although this was first published in 1970, tweens will find that it still it pretty much rings true today. I highly recommend every young lady to read this book. Also brought me back to,my childhood and they way things used to be.
