My Athlon Midas BTR arrived yesterday. (Argos 6-24x50, Talos 4-14x44) Last weekend I mounted both of these up to my 6MMBR.
Scope arrived on Wednesday mounted it on a.204 Ruger Thursday off to Colorado for prairie dog hunt. JavaScript is disabled. I'm considering an Athlon product too - probably a Midas scope. This scope will last. I chose the APLR 1 reticle in 4.5 - 27 power by 50mm. I just ordered up a Athlon Midas BTR 4.5-27x50 from Doug at Cameraland. When making any adjustment to elevation or windage , it's very easy to move 2-3 clicks at a time rather than one solid feeling click. I’m an optics snob and all my rifles sport Vortex Razors, AMG, Nightforce NSX, Swarovski and Zeiss.
Learn more about our Return I'd sure be interested in what you think of it when you get it mounted. The Cronus and Midas lines of Athlon scopes are made in Japan. I looked at a few of them at a local dealer several months ago,the glass in the Midas is on par with Sightron SIII glass. Long Range Scopes and Other Optics. I hit the range today. I imagine this being one of the best options for AR shooters. The scope also tracks and I have not had any mechanical issues.
I haven't field tested more than one outing. I bought this as a long range hunting scope, it seemed packed full of features for the money.
The glass is very good , slightly better then my weaver tactical 3-15 power scope on the same magnification. JavaScript is disabled.
contiguous 48 states, DC and to all U.S. Military APO/FPO/DPO addresses. I have one Athlon scope and just bought the same scope you've got for my SIL.
Athlon Mida TAC Rifle scope review of the Midas TAC rifle scope . Great glass at affordable prices.
Gun Parts - Stocks, Barrels, Actions, etc. I'll have my dirty paws on it in a few days.
I purchased this scope primary for shooting steel up to 1200 yards.

This is a great scope, you will not be disappointed. Gun Parts - Stocks, Barrels, Actions, etc.
I have several Nightforce scopes already but would like something in a higher magnification, e.g., Athlon Midas 4.5x27. That model has been discontinued and replaced, no issues with the new design! I personally wouldn't buy any of the cheaper priced series of their scopes, they might be great scopes, but I prefer higher quality optics.
I own Nightforce , Schmidt Bender and Leupold scopes and This own is far easier to overturn the turrets..... Great optical clarity, great power range, I have nitecore , leupold etc an its as good or better recticle pattern fantastic scope very underrated as I would by another, one of best values for the money. The midas is very comparable to the hst line of scopes. Super high quality and optics that rival much higher priced optics. I would buy again. Thank you for your review, I have to be very honest;I really am interested in the Athlon line of scopes and Tract scopes thank you for the review on the reliability could you speak on the qaulity of the optics on the scope? Good write ups. The useful part of the reticle stretches across most of the glass which is great for hold overs and windage without dialing. Smooth controls.
No regrets.
I had another less expensive scope on the rifle originally.
Saturday afternoon hit a prairie dog at 1100 yards.
On to the con wish it had a true zero stop, should come with lens covers. Trying to slip the turret scale to Zero (when I finished zeroing) was a pain in the butt, and I was not able to get it to be perfectly on 0 I think it was to do with the set screws not wanting to turn, or something. You can’t lose.
Image washes out at higher powers, turrets are a bit too easy to turn; they have a soft click/feel to them, I would prefer something more substantial. I am just a nobody, regular Joe hunter and these were my personal experiences with these particular optics. Glass is very clear, adjustment is spot on and returned to zero every time. The glass is superb even at its max power when you still have the ab... 1st Let me say that I do have this model that I purchased several years ago and it is an outstanding scope.

First the box is the most heavy duty box I've ever seen a scope come in. After opening the well built box and now holding the Midas btr 4.5-27x50, I'm suprised by the feel of the optic. I've got a Cronus 4.5-29x56 and a Midas BTR 4.5-27x50. There are no reviews that match your criteria. You know what, Pastor? by Supposedly the cronus line is getting an etr update like the midas line did recerecen around new year. ive had the argos btr for a couple of year s with no issues with tracking and have the ares no issues both scopes from 100 to 1340 yards good scopes for the money. I messed with it but did not even mount the scope. Just not as easy as the 4 other scopes I have. I also noticed that I had a point of impact shift while zeroing from 15x to 20x so the scope is basically a 15x.

The light gathering capabilities are terrible and the windage turret spins when barely touched.
Got a great deal at OpticsPlanet! My overall opinion of the Midas is MEH so far.
Check great and honest reviews! If this is in the wrong place or not allowed please move or remove. Both scopes track well, and the optical quality is very good. Thanks, looking for sub $500 sfp scope with moa reticle and decent glass. But it appears to be a very solid scope for the price point.
I will be your field salesman from now forward.
At this point I think I probably should have spent another hundred or so and bought another Vortex, but thought I would give this a try. LPVOs are known for their variable magnification settings. It may, or may not, compare to some of my higher end scopes, but for less than $400 bucks it's worth giving it a shot.

While the glass is fine and the overall construction seems to be as well my biggest complaint would be the softness of their turrets. Does anyone have an update on one of these scopes?
I’ll be honest I wasn't looking forward to reviewing Athlon optics. I will say that the eye box is very tight and that I can not shoot with this scope above 15 x because it becomes difficult to get behind. Glass is nice and clear. The Athlon Midas 1 to 6 power optic is one of the most versatile options for a wide variety of shooters. Me too. Might give it a try.
Illumination s great. I just believe you get what you pay for.
This is a review of the Athlon Midas BTR 2.5-15x50 riflescope and the Athlon Ares 10x42 binoculars that I used on my recent Alaskan brown bear hunt. Many thanks, Athlon. You get very good glass for a decent prices , has it's draw backs but I would recommend.

And I was not able to wring any accuracy out of my rig. I am just a nobody, regular Joe hunter and these were my personal experiences with these particular optics. Fax: +1-866-534-3097 Glass is super clear to edges at even the highest power setting. In short order I was grouping three shots that could be covered by a quarter at 100 yards! I have been looking into there optics as well.

Email Only Sat I have always been a vortex fan. Policy. Thanks for subscribing to our newsletter! I just ordered a Midas 4.5-27x50 a couple days ago. Good review, thanks for sharing. I have not finished his rifle yet so I have not mounted it yet. by I shoot 2 Cronus scopes on different rifles and they have performed flawlessly. wow I really wish I could find some athlon dealers from around here .I like my minox but the reticle is a little small and reticle options are very limited. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another scope from Athlon in the Cronus - Ares - or Midas series.
Would you like to. Athlon Midas HMR review. Doug asked me to review two Athlon scopes for him. Compared it with my buddies Night force the Athlon seemed to be as clear as the night force. from PA, United States Hey, Pastor, appreciate the review. The Athlon Midas 8x42 generally please our testers and is a good option if you don't want to spend close to $500 on the Editors' Choice winning Vortex Viper HD.However, if you're looking to save some money the Celestron Nature DX 8x42 is even cheaper, and isn't far off from the quality of the Athlon Midas..
Turrets aren't as audible as the hst, but they are still good. It’s on the short list for a new rifle.
It stays clear even at 27x but extremely difficult to get behind and impossible to shoot. Certainly not a hunting scope. Should be everything the BTR is but with capped turrets. I'm excited!
