- Nonprofit Association of the Midlands I'm running for metropolitan community college board of governor's because I believe that there needs to be true conservatives on the board. The purpose of the board is to oversee the operations of the school. Candidates provide their biographical information and their positions on selected issues. Where do I start? Instructors with life experience provide goals which open the minds of others to the coming millennia of new types of employment. Community college tends to be more age diverse allowing a comfortable atmosphere for an adult returning to post high school education, a high school student seeking college classes or a retiree learning community skills. Of course any instructor needs the ability to connect, teach and measure the progress of students. The members represent five districts, with one member at large.

Metropolitan Community College's purpose is to provide high-quality programs and services to people of all ages and educational backgrounds. Learn about Metropolitan Community College, our mission and what we're doing to further education. I think additional trades programs should be guided by the needs in the community of unions and industry. Today the role of the Community College is not only to teach trades, but offers High School students an opportunity to dual enroll and get a jump on obtaining college credits while still in High School.
