Toilets were closed 30 mins , before arrival with passengers still trying to use them.
Everything ran to clockwork and without bother. This is not a restaurant but a really sea going Ferry.
Took the ferry to Ireland this Summer to commence a Grand Tour of Ireland with local coach company Edwards. First shock came at the till...€25.00! Took the ferry to Ireland this Summer to commence a Grand Tour of Ireland with local coach company Edwards. Stay calm. Is this a place where you pay before receiving your order? Staff very helpful, comfortable. I was initially pleased to see a Gluten Free menu but looking closer, you can clearly see products contacting wheat (gluten is in wheat) & so this is clearly not a gluten free menu. Sailing to pembroke was nice, night sailing, boat very quiet, the only negative was the food was average from the restaurant. The return sailing back to rosslare was the day time one, food still only okay, service behind the food counter very slow and dithery.
more.
The club class seating is comfortable compared to other seating on this vessel. For years, their service was "free" within the pass, just like the links between Italy and similarly-isolated Greece across the Adriatic still are.But NOW their prices are insane, even with their so-called Eurail 30% discount.

Fantastic, I could not believe how organized and efficient the Irish ferry system was.
When we arrived in the coffee shop, there was nothing there, the shop was closed.
On return we had an early start leaving hotel at 6am and driving to Rosslare there were long queues waiting to board and the shore staff were useless. If you are a resident of another country or region, please select the appropriate version of Tripadvisor for your country or region in the drop-down menu. In addition, to ensure no sleep at all was achievable, a loud persistent creaking eminated from an area directly outside the cabin. Long traffic jams getting out of Pembroke, and even longer trying to get to M4, and this was on a Sunday.
We nearly had a joint heart attack. queue of passengers on his own, there was no menu or price list at the bar. Yes you are given free beverages, little nibbles, but that is it!Return journey cabin booked, again no free WiFi available even in the area shown by staffTry and complain if your lucky!
The ferry was prompt, clean and pleasant surroundings.
The crossing was calm but to cut down on fuel the Captain cut his speed and we were late arriving.
Noise carries up from the lower deck so you have no chance of any shut eye. Booked to sail with Irish Ferries from Pembroke to Rosslare departing 14.45 on Wednesday the 6th August. This is a service where you get very little. The words 'cosy' and 'arrangement' may spring to many peoples' minds when comparing these two operators' fares on these routes.I have travelled with both companies a number of times and whilst it can be a similar experience there are a number of operational differences. Let alone buying the cheapest of the cheap and charging extortionate prices.
Stena's high speed service is an overall better experience and whilst it's sailings too can be disrupted by adverse weather it is more likely to sail than the Irish Ferries craft. My advice is bring a flask and sandwiches, enjoy the journey because the boat is lovely and smooth. We booked a crossing from Holyhead to Dublin on 'Ulysses' at the end of May. Both were very good Ferries. The cabin is basic with dirty and worn curtains and carpets. Recommended experiences in and around Dublin. This is the version of our website addressed to speakers of English in the United States.

read more. I took a tea for my breakfast and could not find a lemon into it. I have used Irish Ferries for many years they have good sailing times , speedy check in and nice staff on land and at sea , spacious boats and see to get around even in high season i never use anyone else but Irish Ferries, We traveled on this ferry from Rosslare to Pembroke. Advertised rates are if you book 40 days in advance,...no Irish nationals, the list goes on.No texts to state delays, how hard can it be to implement that.
Good staff, what was surprise for me was fresh flower around ship. There was nothing Irish about this voyage, the ship is registered in Cyprus and the staff were eastern European, this is not the issue, but their inability to communicate correctly or politely is.
So we set off from the south of England earlier than we had originally planned to make sure we got to Holyhead in time.
We took a taxi from there to our hotel.
As we travelled we received not just another SMS but a phone call making sure we knew of the cancellation and the rebooking of us and the car on the earlier ferry. Food services was great, we had sliders and a chicken Thai red curry, expansive menu. Not the experience I was hoping for at the start of my short break in Ireland. Food services was great, we had sliders and a chicken Thai red curry, expansive menu.
Votre session a expiré.
The whole operation is run by eastern europeans, which does have language difficulties.

It took 20 minutes to get a coffee, people were told that there was a wait of 25 minutes for a panini. Once on board found getting to passenger decks was a major...operation as the lifts are very small and every was trying to use the at same time.
:-( Then we sat down to eat what we thought was going to be a fantastic breakfast as we'd paid so much for it.
The main negative of the entire trip was the behavior of a group of passengers who ran amuck on the boat from one area to the next, a few families involved, very loud, foul language etc., and whilst the aggression was mainly between themselves and fellow members of their “community”, it quite obviously left many on the ship uncomfortable, and vulnerable, as Irish ferries didn’t have much security visible anywhere, or did anyone intervene. more.
Can a gluten free person get a good meal at this restaurant?
Food looked nice under the serving lights. Fresh food&vegetable&fruit.
However, for the snacks the bread was dry and hard...I believe the technical term is 'stale' and there was no milk in the coffee machine when I attempted to obtain a coffee 10 mins into the voyage. This year was at short notice because of a family emergency so we couldn't plan ahead and...More, The boat is fine, plenty of space, nice views, lovely staff... the same cannot be said for Boylan's Brasserie.
Really good trip, it was long enough to spend time looking around the ferry but not too long to be boring. Long queues again for lifts and people in wheelchairs having great problems.
I thank you guys from Irish Ferries and hope that you have plenty of happy returning customers like I am.
Limp greasy fish and more than over-priced.
The Low Fares Ferry Company?
On boarding the boat we asked at the Customer Service desk for a cabin (you can't pre-book when travelling by coach and this should be changed).
Both companies operate a large cruise ferry as well as a high speed vessel. Also, the captains announcement on departure was so loud in the cabin that just to avoid possible hearing damage it was necessary to stick my fingers in my ears for it's duration.
They were cheap, nasty substandard goods, and a disgrace to Ireland and Irish Ferries.
Also, on some of my trips with Irish Ferries the on board announcements are barely comprehensible so strong are the accents of those making them.
