So to finish it up, I can only say I’m very positively surprised how much of a low end “punch” this really cheap laptop of mine somehow manages to pack with the 12 GB of RAM. The latest content update for World of Warcraft ®: Battle for Azeroth ™, “ Tides of Vengeance,” not only brought new questlines, missions and expeditions, it also ushered in optimizations for DirectX 12 multithreading. Which i7? FYI I don’t have the cash for Ryzen 9 or i9.!

Ryzen is a CPU, not a GPU.
Amd are more for people who like I say before use they pc as a work station.

Ryzen’s 5 series processors are a great start for someone getting into programming, streaming, editing or other applications that can make use of multiple cores. Edit: I have to add that going from an FX4100 to R7 1700X was lifechanging. I mainly play WoW a lot, do a lot of raiding (Just got curve on wednesday) but my current pc is dog!"#¤!

For nighthold i use same settings but draw back view distance and environmental detail ro 6 and keep everything else the same.
One of those things where your brain assumes what the guy is talking about so you don’t really actually read it. The one with icore 5 is much more expensive. So to my surprise it finally even lets me play Star Wars Battlefront II on low settings. I’m raiding on a two year old Ryzen 7 1700 and I probably won’t run into wow-related problems with it for at least another decade.
I can't keep steady 60 fps almost anywhere.

Graphics settings in WoW?
I just re-configured one of my home computer with * AMD Ryzen 3 - 1200. But... it is a gamble as to whether this price war will really happen. AMD Ryzen™ 3 Processors. The new amd and the intel chips are basically tied in gaming, but the ryzen is so much better for pretty much anything else it’s embarrassing for intel. It’ll probably be 60 FPS in most situations with most things turned up but again, it would probably be wise to ask on reddit if anyone was using the integrated graphics with a 2200G and played while those Ragnaros events on the beta were happening. But hey it works and should your available internet connection happen to be one of the slower and higher ping ones, then even the fastest hardware won’t make online gaming a pleasure, so you might as well just settle for something cheap then.
WoWs engine is really old and likes high IPC because it doesn't use multi threading properly. So to my surprise it finally even lets me play Star Wars Battlefront II on low settings. Nighthold is just a shit show for fps, as is wow in general for that matter.

For games most important is power per single core. Latest games do however use multiple cores much better and don’t rely as much on single core or latency between few cores as before.

it’s gotta handle WoW Classic just fine, right? I have a 1700 @ 3.7ghz and the only time my fps dips below 100 is in cities. 26 percent faster gaming performance on average compared with the Ryzen 3000-series processors of the last generation.

WOW is low threads, so you need high clock high IPC threads, like an i5 Kabylake OC. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X I want a computer that can handle every aspect in WoW on ultra with high fps!
I use a GTX 1060 6gb at 1080p. AMD Ryzen 5000 performance Zen 3 will deliver performance "right in line what you might expect from an entirely new architecture". Today we found out just what Dr. Lisa Su and Co. have planned for the next-gen Zen 3 processors, with a little sneak peak at Big Navi too. amd or intel, yes intel ia better by a little margin, amd have a better price. I’m gonna use a good cooler btw, so that the cpu can perform really good without heat problems!
